Sensory Friendly Sundays at The Bakken Museum

Bakken Museum offers Sensory Friendly Sundays from 10:30 p.m. to 12 p.m. on the second Sunday of every month. Sensory Friendly Sundays allows people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to have a fun, enjoyable, and interactive learning experience in a comfortable and accepting environment. Events will include modified programming for diverse sensory needs and specialized staff training.

• Sunday, May 12: 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The Bakken Museum’s Sensory Friendly Program has been developed in consultation with the Autism Society of Minnesota. The museum will continue be open to the general public from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Please note, Sensory Friendly Sunday hours will change in June 1 with the museum’s summer hours.

Cost: All activities are free with museum admission ($10 adults, $8 seniors 62+, $8 ages 12-24, $5 ages 4-12, free for children 3 and under and members of The Bakken Museum). Free parking is available both in the museum's lot on Zenith Avenue South, and on West 36th Street.
