Patty Peterson Presents; Memories The Music of Barbra Streisand at Paramount Center for the Arts

Patty Peterson, one of the most beloved and iconic vocalists in the Twin Cities is living her gift by presenting the songs of one of her own idols in her highly esteemed show, “Memories - The Music of Barbra Streisand”. Friday, May 3rd 8:00pm at Paramount Center for the Arts.

With the help of musical director and renowned pianist/arranger Sean Turner, Patty pays homage to one of the most iconic artists of all time, “Babs.” Lending her own expressive vocal style, Patty will perform favorite selections from Streisand’s extensive library including “People,” “Guilty,” “Evergreen,” “On A Clear Day” and many more. These songs have captured the hearts of anyone who has ever heard the music of “Babs.” This beautiful show will leave you with the feeling that "Happy Days are Here Again!" Joining Patty Peterson and Sean Turner for these shows will be Mary Jane Alm – vocals, Aimée Lee– vocals, Wayne Anthony Cullinan – vocals, Tony Axtell – Bass, Peter Hennig – drums and Phil Kadidlo – keyboards.

As a vocalist, Patty has performed for sold out audiences all over the country including The Dakota and Crooners in Minneapolis, as well as Vibrato Jazz Club and The Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles, California. Hailing from Minnesota’s First Family of Music, The Petersons, Patty has released 4 solo recordings, featuring contributions by Bobby Lyle, Sheila E., David Hazeltine, Ira Sullivan as well as her brothers, Ricky (David Sanborn Band, Fleetwood Mac), Billy (Steve Miller Band), and Paul Peterson (Kenny Loggins, Fdeluxe,),all of whom are recording artists and involved in the international music scene. Patty is currently working on her 5th solo recording to be release this coming fall. In addition, Patty has received the coveted Minnesota Music Award 7 times for best vocalist and has been inducted into the Mid America Hall of Fame.

Having survived Aortic Dissection (same condition that ultimately took the life of John Ritter), Patty Peterson has also been a featured speaker for The American Heart Association, Go Red for Women, University of Texas Aortic Symposium, Mom Camp, and St. Jude Medical. Additionally, she is also a radio personality on KBEM Jazz88 in Minneapolis, MN.
