Free Foster Care Information Session April 27
Minnesota adults 21 and older interested in learning more about fostering a child or providing respite care are invited to attend an informational session hosted by St. David's Center's Harman Center for Child & Family Wellbeing at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 27. According to Hennepin County, nearly 1,700 local children are in need of foster care each year. Learn about foster parent eligibility requirements as well as the different types of foster care, from respite care to short- and long-term care as well as adoption. St. David’s Center for Child & Family Development, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been a resource for tens of thousands of Twin Cities families since its inception as a nursery school in 1961. Its founders and leaders knew the importance of investing early in a child’s life to produce the best possible outcomes for every child and family. Today, St. David’s Center serves the Twin Cities metro area and outlying counties, assisting more than 3,000 children and their families in center-based programs and in homes, schools, community centers, shelters and childcare facilities in the community every year.
