2019 PROGRESS VALLEY SPRING CONFERENCE: Understanding and Treating Co-Occurring Disorders and Trauma
UNDERSTANDING AND TREATING CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS AND TRAUMA Progress Valley is pleased to announce our first ever Spring Conference! "Understanding and Treating Co-Occurring Disorders and Trauma," is a two-day event that will host eight different workshops and seven different speakers who will be sharing their expertise on various topics related to identifying, engaging, and treating individuals who are experiencing co-occurring disorders and the effects of traumatic experiences. Although integrated treatment of co-occuring disorders is not a new practice, there is still much work to be done in designing behavioral health systems and services that can meet the increasingly complex needs of the individuals we serve. One area that is especially challenging to our systems, and critically important to our clients, is serving individuals with co-occurring disorders who also suffer from the effects of trauma. As our knowledge of substance use disorders, trauma, and associated conditions have grown, so has our ability to remove barriers and provide innovative, flexible, and integrated services more effectively. We hope you will join us at the Hyland Hills Chalet in Bloomington, Minnesota on Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9 to hear from industry experts, network with other professionals, and be a part of discussions that lead to change!
