Light The Night Twin Cities
Bring light to the darkness of cancer on Sunday, Oct. 15 at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Minnesota Chapter Light The Night. Join us for an inspirational community event to raise awareness and funds for blood cancer research and support services for local patient families.
Celebrate before the walk with live music, fun activities for all ages, and food truck fare at the Depot, downtown Minneapolis. Come for a powerful survivor ceremony, honor loved ones at the remembrance pavilion, and take a photo at the team photo booth.
At dusk, join thousands in a march across the historic Stone Arch Bridge with illuminated lanterns. The red lanterns symbolize community and support, the gold symbolize remembrance and honor, and white symbolizes survivorship and hope. The entire walk is 1.5 miles and is wheel-chair accessible.
Light The Night supports life-saving research, provides free education and ensures patients get the treatments they need.
The light and warmth we generate delivers hope in time of despair, community in place of loneliness and life-saving RESEARCH & SUPPORT for cancer patients and their families. LLS funded research is leading to cures for all cancers. In fact, more than 40 percent of cancer therapies approved by the FDA between 2000 and 2015 were first approved for blood cancer research.
We are taking steps to end cancer. WE LIGHT THE NIGHT.
